Im ActivCellpen werden dielektrische, also schwach oder gar nicht leitende Materialien verwendet, mithilfe derer Entladungsimpulse auf eine leitende Oberfl\u00e4che wie z.B. menschliche Haut \u00fcbertragen werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<p>Das entstehende Kaltplasma besteht aus zahlreichen physikalischen und chemischen Komponenten. Dabei werden die oxidativen Eigenschaften der im Kaltplasma enthaltenen reaktiven Spezies genutzt. In der Humanmedizin hat sich der Einsatz von Kaltplasma bei der Wundbehandlung bereits etabliert und es liegen zahlreiche Studien vor, die die Wirksamkeit belegen. Insbesondere bei chronischen Wunden wird die antimikrobielle Wirkung und die daraus resultierende Verbesserung des Wundmilieus ausgenutzt, um die Wundheilung zu unterst\u00fctzen.
