The easily manageable PetCellpen® facilitates the simple and straightforward use of modern plasma medicine. With its interchangeable electrodes, this cordless cold plasma therapy device is ideal for small animals and is suitable for various medical applications. Cold plasma is a sensible alternative and supplement to conventional therapies.
1 Glass electrode
The replaceable glass electrode is placed lightly on the patient’s skin. An audible plasma is created between the electrode and the skin. There is no need to shear the coat or use a contact agent.
2 Pulse frequency
The rotary «Impulse/s» control allows the pulse frequency to be set from 20 to 100 Hertz. A special function at the 10 Hertz setting allows therapy to be modulated from the highest to the lowest setting and back again.
3 Amplitude selection
The rotary “Amplitude” control is used to switch the device on and off. Turning the control determines the device’s output power and consequently the intensity of the therapy.

- Abrasion injuries
- Pressure sores
- Wound healing
- Problems with wound healing
In dermatological applications, especially wound healing, cold plasma demonstrates a number of effects that promote the healing process. Plasma treatment with the PetCellpen® can accelerate and improve the quality of wound healing in all phases. After a few treatments, a positive effect on wound healing is visible, even in wounds where the healing process had come to a standstill.
Infectious skin diseases
- Anal gland inflammation
- Feline acne
- Malassezia dermatitis
The proven antiseptic effect of atmospheric cold plasma means that the PetCellpen® can be used both as a primary form of therapy and as an accompanying treatment for various infectious skin diseases. Skin infections with problematic microorganisms that are difficult to treat with medication, for example multi-resistant bacteria, can be treated practicably with the help of cold plasma. This form of treatment also does not cause resistance.
In multi-factorial disease patterns, the inflammation caused by allergic reactions is modulated and itching is reduced.
- Hyperextension syndrome of the carpus
- Disc problems and spondylosis of the spine
- Tendinitis of the biceps tendon
- Tendinitis of the supraspinatus muscle
The PetCellpen® is used for numerous orthopaedic problems as its range of effectiveness includes both inflammation-modulating and healing-promoting properties. Acute ligament, muscle and tendon injuries can be healed more quickly through direct cell stimulation and the stimulation of blood flow. In chronic and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system, this form of therapy has anti-inflammatory and pain-inhibiting properties.
- Muscular tension and spasm
- Myofascial trigger points
- Desmitis and tendinitis
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Scar treatment
- Problems with wound healing
The PetCellpen® allows physiotherapists to apply the benefits of cold plasma therapy and high-frequency electrotherapy with one and the same device. In post-operative rehabilitation patients, improved healing is achieved due to the wound-healing properties that this form of therapy offers. Irritating scars are reduced with post-treatment as a result of improved blood circulation and activation of the cell structure. Patients with muscular tension and spasms benefit from the treatment’s inflammation-calming effect.
